The National Lottery Heritage Fund
The Engine Shed has been supported by a grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to create Scotland’s first dedicated building conservation centre. It enables us to encourage understanding of traditional building materials and skills among the public and professionals and raise standards in conservation for traditional buildings.
European Regional Development Fund
The Engine Shed project is part financed by the Lowlands and Uplands Scotland European Regional Development Fund Programme 2007 to 2013.
The Scottish Government - European Structural Funds is the managing authority for the European Regional Development Fund Programme, which is one of the funds established by the European Commission to help local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support local businesses create jobs.
Arts and Humanities Research Council
Digital innovation, heritage science and creative research infrastructure funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council, part of the UKRI World Class Laboratories Fund.
